The Transcript

Hi, I'm new in this forum. I hope I'm posting this thread in the right area. >.<
So, it's almost school time as a senior and I wanted to get a head start in my application processes, especially since I would like to apply for UCF and I know they do rolling admissions.

I already got my SAT/ACT/AP scores sent in. Now, I sent in the transcript already (like last week), but I realized my transcript does not contain any of my upcoming senior classes.

Should I resend my transcript when school starts so it contains my senior classes. Well actually, will my senior classes even show up on the transcript when school starts because there are no semester grades to follow along with it, so technically it's not a completed class.

The application process asks for my senior classes, but I'm not sure if the college would like an official schedule.

It may seem kind of weird I'm applying so early, but my parents really want me to have a secure spot as far as housing (and of course in the school in general) and we don't have to rush towards the of the end year to find housing that fits their standards. I also heard that applying early may get me some scholarships as well. UCF is my #1 priority school.

I'm pretty sure I'm a well-rounded student:
Unweighted GPA: 3.9773
HPA: 4.8571
Completed 4 AP's and going to take 3 more (Passed 3 out of the 4 completed so far)
SAT: eh. 1800 total. 1200 Verbal and Math
ACT: 28
Lots of extracciriculars: Marching Band, Multicultural club, Class Council of 2011, NHS, SHS, Recording Secretary of HOSA, Private piano and violin lessons
Almost 200 hours of community service

I hope you guys can help me with this process! I tried asking my brother but last time he sent a college application was like, 10 years ago. I already called the college a bunch of times for questions, and I feel like I'm bugging them. I just wanted to hear some personal experiences and advice from people who have gone through this process of applying.

Thank you so much!

Colleges don’t expect your transcript to have sr classes listed, that’s why they ask for them on the application. Later, they may require you to turn in a mid-yr report (about Jan), and you will definitely have to send in a final transcript with your sr year grades. As long as your jr year courses and grades were on your transcript you’ll be fine. Your parents are right about applying early for rolling admissions.

Looking at the website, you can turn in either ACT or SAT. Your stats are looking pretty good for admissions, best of luck on the scholarships!

This suggests massive grade inflation and you have a low chance for UCF.

Massive grade inflation?

It means that your SAT score is lower than is should be compared to your grade point average, and it shows that your teachers were grading too easily or the curriculum at your high school was not challenging enough.

Well truthfully. I am not very good at SAT, if anything, I really suck at it. I can’t really crack the code or see things the way the SAT is formatted. I thought my ACT is pretty good though, especially when the test is more straightforward compared to SAT. But…1200 verbal and math only isn’t THAT bad I believe.

However, that shouldn’t make me a low candidate for getting into UCF with my extracirriculars and other awards I did not list, right? And usually, GPA can sometimes balance out the bad SAT, correct?

I thought that GPA balanced out SAT and vice versa, but I’m not sure after reading around here. It seems that grade inflation is a bad problem and placing more emphasis on test scores would weed that out. However, that’s just my thoughts.

Honestly, I think that you are fine, your scores seem to be the average at the school, from what I looked up.

Oh Ok. Kingsize said I had a low chance in UCF, I had a little panic-moment.
