The True Importance of SAT

<p>ditto to the guy above. After running till you puke, its a bit hard to stumble in to a room and choke out a 1400(out of 1600) without the free time of a kid who sat and studied for that same test for weeks and weeks with nothing else to do......</p>

<p>This thread makes me think there are no other ECs than sports, and if you aren't doing a sport you're sitting around at home with nothing to do all the time.</p>

<p>no matter what you are doing ec-wise be it athletics or community service, you can always make time to study for the SAT's... it may take some sacrifice, a lack of sleep, and even studying way in advance when there are less tournaments or games or meets etc...but the adcoms will be much more impressed and amazed at how you could be so busy and still manage to score well compared to the other crazy-busy kid who did not score as well....of course scoring "well" and improving means different things to different people, but i guess the point is just that excuses dont need to be made :) everyone's busy...and if they arnt...adcoms know it</p>
