The UC's and my low low GPA

Well, I slacked off when I was young and it hurt real bad. Basically I am looking at a 2.9 GPA with 8 semesters weighted. Is there any way to bump up my GPA Prior to Admission? I am going into my senior year.

Regardless of the answer; Id also like to make this a what are my chances thread assuming I had a 3.0 GPA. I took the most rigorous course work avaible to me in my entire city as well as attended the most competitive school in the area. Tell me what you guys think.

Asian/White Male

GPA-
3.0 All IB Classes/Honor

EC-
4 Years National Level Tournament Paintball
Boy's State Delegate and Citizen
IB Diploma Candidate (I will have the diploma when I graduate)
120 Hours of Community Service (well documented)

SAT-
Reasoning: 2050
I haven't taken subject yet but I am a good test taker and I am going to take math and bio (my two best subjects)

I would like to make an amendment to my GPA listings:

3.0 UW (Not really; read the top of the post), 3.94 WGPA

all you can do now is raise your SAT I and study a lot for the SAT IIs. are u in state? and which UCs do you want to apply to? that makes a difference I would say. good luck and never lose hope! we’ve all heard about the horror stories and the miracles… admissions are weird these days… STUDY!

Im sorry there is no way you have a 3.0 UW and a 3.94 W in the UC System…thats not right. OK odds at UCR, UCM.

Budget cuts and greater number of students vying for UC spots= very tough with a 3.0 gpa. Please apply to some CSUs as well as your desired UCs. Good luck, you need to rock those SATIIs.
