I didn’t get into Austin, but I still love it. I did however, get into Arlington, which is nowhere near as nice as Austin, but I have a few questions.

How easy/difficult would it be for me to transfer out of Arlington to Austin after a year

If Austin rejects me again, what kind of schools might take me

and any other info you guys know about arlington. Thanks

Did you get offered the CAP program? If you did then while you're at UTA, you need to keep up a 3.0 GPA (which they're trying to raise to about 3.2-3.7) and complete two 15-hour semesters. The requirements seem pretty hard, but it is very much worth it to some people. If you don't meet those requirements, who knows? Maybe you'll like UTA so much that you wouldn't want to leave anyway.

I didn't get into CAP

it would probably be easier to transfer from utd to austin, but it should not really be a problem even if you didn't get offered cap. i think transfers without cap should try and keep a 3.5, but that doesn't mean that you would not get in with something below a 3.5. you should not really take it personally when you get rejected from a school.

Crusier, you got over a 1300 SAT and 3.5 Gpa and still didn't get in out of state. Woah, I am afraid

yea, 1350 and 3.73

I didn't take it personally when I got rejected, I just really like Austin and would like to attend

i think u have a good chance at transferring out of arlington to austin
