The Unknown of the New SAT

Hello,

I just got my ACT score back last night, scoring a 32 (36 R, 29 M, 28 S, 34 E). I also took the last old SAT in January, scoring a 1950 (720 CR, 650 M, 580 W). I would personally like to try to take retake the ACT to bring up my math and science scores. I believe that with studying I could significantly improve my math score, seeing as its been so long since I have taken Pre-Calculus. However, my parents think I should take the new SAT, since I have not yet done so. I know there isn’t as much study material available for it and feel I should stick with the ACT (seeing as it plays to my strengths), but what do you guys think? I got a 1420 on the new PSAT, so assuming that I studied a bit, what would my score be? Part of the reason I ask is that I hate studying for standardized tests and I feel as though it would take much more effort studying for a new test and starting from scratch.

Also, I’m aware that my Writing score for the SAT is low. It was kind of an off day I guess, my practice tests put me around a 650.

depending on how much you study your score may possibly increase to 1500 which is similar to a 34-35 on the ACT

I would just stick to act because it hasn’t changed. There is a whole bunch of information on it and wides of study guides. It’s better to take the new sat after 2 or 3 years of it being out in my opinion. And if you do the act again you can super score depending on certain schools.
