<p>I don't think research is a good way to guage MBA programs. Stanford behind UCLA, worthless...</p>

<p>I agree with slipper. The truth is, like it or not, real world business managers don't read business research articles. They'll read pop business articles that appear in Business Week, Wall Street Journal, and maybe a few articles in business school publications like the Harvard Business Review or the Sloan Management Review. But academic publications? Journals like Administrative Science Quarterly, Management Science , Research Policy, Strategic Management Journal, and the like? Only academics actually read that stuff. The vast vast majority of real world managers and businessmen don't know what these publications are, and don't care.</p>

<p>Is this ranking as good as the US News rankings for MBA programs --Definitely Not. However it does give a good indicator of the strength of research coming out of these respective business schools.</p>

<p>UTD ahead of texas A&M? After about the top 5, these rankings seem pretty skewed.</p>
