Hi, all! I am new here and hope to learn a lot about the new "world" I am (hopefully) about to enter... I graduate SUNY Empire State College in December [2010] with a Bachelors (business & economics). I am currently a stay-at-home mom (prefer "WORK"-at-home) operating a web design & marketing firm (since 2000). I was not sure whether I wanted to begin an MBA program immediately or wait a few years. However, I chose to apply since I realize it is "now or never" - I don't want to put this off and regret it later on... But that is a long story....

I decided to stick with Empire State College for Graduate studies as I really enjoyed my experience as an undergraduate student. I submitted my application on July 1st and have been trying to be as patient as possible for that acceptance letter. I have a 3.4 undergrad GPA. My last 3-4 semesters feature straight-A's (with 1-2 bad apples - B+, B..). Empire does NOT require GMAT. I am (still) actively involved as a peer tutor. My resume includes such work experiences as an e-commerce business manager, director of internet marketing and sales, accounts payable administrative assistant, etc. My recommendations were done by an ex-manager and a staff (not faculty) member @ the school.

I have been trying to find out what sort of acceptance qualifications, rates, denial rates, etc. Empire State College has for Graduate applicants. I am one of those people that cannot wait for anything (still not sure how I made it 9-months before I could meet my son...). Has anyone ever heard of a Graduate application denied? I did have to write an essay for undergraduate admissions (clearly I was accepted) but wonder about the difficulty (possible differences) their Graduate admissions will have...?

I am not sure if anyone has any idea... just reaching out in hopes of my nerves calming down since I could have to wait another 4+ weeks!

Thank you! :)
