The why’s that help answer the how’s.

A few days ago, I got into a discussion with my uncle

who feels that there’s really no need for anyone to

study film much more to take up an

[immersion

course for a year](<a href="http://www.filmschool.ph/index.php%5Dimmersion">http://www.filmschool.ph/index.php). I’m 21 and I decided to

take an immersion film course at the International

Academy of Film and Television (Blowed my parents

mind off when I told them it was in Asia!). Although

I understand where he is coming from, I beg to

disagree with him on a lot of things. If there’s

anything that I’ve learned is school is that

filmmaking demands the integration of many kinds of

knowledge and skill that one gets from hands-on

training, classroom instruction and actual film

production. These are the why’s that help you answer

the how’s!

Ooh, I love haikus!

Every so often

someone posts oddly like this

and I laugh loudly

Lol. Yea I want to study film in South Korea but my parents wouldn't let me. So I'm at Emerson College.

A lot of people think there isn't any money in filmmaking but that's not true. They also think its a very pretentious major with weird kids talking about Citizen Kane and Psycho nonstop but that's also not true.

Film production requires A LOT of hard work and talent.
