So I’m memorizing the monologues for my video audition right now and I saw on this website a comment about comedy in your monologues. It says stuff that’s similar to “stand up comedy” is not really good for a monologue. I feel as though my comedic monologue fits that bill a little too much but I just want to make sure before I go out and find another one. So could anyone give me an example of what “stand up” monologues would be? My monologue is from The Crowd You’re In With by Rebecca Gilman if anyone knows that.
Anyway, any help or advice would be really really awesome. Thank you
