Hi! So I’m planning on majoring in musical theatre or theatre in college (depending on what’s offered), but it just happens that most of the colleges I’m applying to (Northwestern, Yale, Brown, Tufts, etc.) don’t have auditions for their programs. Would it be a good idea to send in a theatre resume in addition to my regular college resume, just so the schools will get an idea of my experience?
Thanks!
If they don’t have auditions, it’s likely they don’t care what your experience is (other than as ECs) and make admissions based on a standard application - grades, scores, ECs, essays, experiences. You need to check to see if the theater departments have their own applications or any influence at all in admissions.
