THEATRE Summer Camp: Interlochen VS BUSTI

I applied to a number of summer theatre programs this summer, and have received two acceptance letters from my top picks. I’m struggling to choose, and am looking for some guidance. I am caught between Interlochen’s Repertory Theatre Production and Boston University’s Summer Theatre Intensive. I have attended Interlochen in the past, I attended one of the 2016 Musical Theatre Workshops. I had a very good experience with it overall. I have not attended any program like BUSTI in the past. It’s on a college campus and more replicant of a BFA program.

Can anyone with experience with either/both of these summer programs weigh in? What are the pros and cons of each program? What was your personal experience. Any advice is welcome!!

Thank you!

My son did three summers at Interlochen arts camp repertory theatre program. He loved it. He goes to a regular public high school, and I am certain that the training he received at Interlochen helped him have a successful college audition season. Among others, his theatre experience helping him get into Syracuse acting BFA, BOSTON Conservatory, Kenyon College, UCSD out of state, etc. Separately, my sister went there for cello in the 90’s. She got into Vanderbilt and did her masters at BU. She is now a professional musician. I would highly recommend Interlochen.
