Theoretical Chance Thread for Tippy-Top Schools

Hi all, I made a chance thread earlier but it was very cumbersome and lengthy. I'd appreciate if you gave some quick chances for me. The following stats are partly hypothetical, but if everything goes according to plan I should get all of them, with major exceptions: olympiad scores and intel. The majority, however, should be simple or are already done.

Demographics: White, male, Catholic school in Kentucky, Parents: $130k
uwGPA: 4.0, 10 AP classes+1 self study (no idea what my weighted is)
Class Rank: 1 or tied/~330
ACT 35-36 (I already got the 35, but without writing. Sigh)
PSAT: 230, NMSF
SAT 1: 2300-2400
SAT 2: Math2 780-800, Spanish Listening 700-800, Chemistry: 750-800, USHist:?
No hooks except that schools might want geographical diversity

Awards: Lots of chess tournament victories (individual and team) from middle school but nothing major so I probably can't list them. Maybe can list a state individual award (tied for first)
Duke Tip Grand Recognition (7)
Gold Medal National Spanish Exam (8)
Principal's List (straight A's for a quarter) for every quarter
Various Academic Team tournament placements at local-state level
Eagle Scout (11)
AIME qualifier
Level 2 of Chemistry Olympiad
Local math competition awards
Intel STS semifinalist

EC: Boy Scout- Eagle
Academic Team-Captain, lots of awards. This is my "passion"/unique thing
Chess Team
Intramurals- not sure if I can list it, but we have a huge program and I have actually placed fairly well in some events
NHS- some sort of officer
Chemistry Club- President
Mu Alpha Theta- I will open a chapter at my school; logically I should be the president
Science Olympiad-See above
Internship at commercial/research targeted medicine based on genetics, which should be the topic of my Intel submission

Volunteering:
150-200 hours, contemplating starting some mini-project but probably won't. Mostly tutoring or boy scout related.

Essays: Will talk about how much initiative I had to show to do many of my clubs. I had to start MAO and science olympiad at my school as well as reinstate the math and chemistry tests. Will also talk about my passion:Quick Recall. Might talk about the time my brother almost died from appendicitis to tie in to a possible chemistry related field of study.

Recs: Will probably have three, I think they'll be pretty good.

Now for the colleges. I'm obviously not going to apply to to all of them, probably more like 5-7 of them, but I'm not entirely sure which ones yet since I haven't had the chance to go to New England to look at them. Don't worry, I will have safeties.
I know these are "reaches for everyone" so just tell me if you think I have a good chance of getting into a few of them out of all of them.
Harvard
Yale
Princeton
Brown
UPenn (Wharton)
MIT
Stanford
UChicago
Duke
JHU

I will chance back if you want, as long as your post has a modicum of reasoning to it. Suggestions are welcome.

All of your grades and such look perfect for those schools. From what I’ve read, if you can get those scores, then you should definitely be fine academically for those schools.

You’ve got a wide variety of ECs, which is definitely good! I’ve read that a lot of top-notch schools really take into account ECs. You also have a lot of chemistry-related ECs, which is definitely good.

Honestly, I don’t see anything wrong with your grades or ECs. If you can guarantee that you get the grades, scores, and the ECs, then I think you would definitely have a decent chance at getting into those schools.

I appreciate your input. I have already got a 780 for math2 and 700 for spanish listening, the 35, the psat, and the gpa, so those are quite attainable.

If college admissions wants to know about my hobbies, do you all think I should tell them about videogames? I play more videogames (PC) than I would care to admit to admissions and I’m worried that it would hurt my chances. I’m not professional in any game, nor have I developed mods, which I would mention if I could.

I don’t really think you should mention videogames. I don’t think it would really help, unless the games you’re playing are like zooniverse (which actually contributes to science). It might show the admissions people that you don’t really spend your time well? I’m not sure; I wouldn’t put it on if I were you.

Bumping to the top

not sure if serious or trolling- your stats are great I’d be surprised if you didn’t get into at least one of those schools. What a fail about the ACT though lol thats such a noob move

Harvard: reach
Yale: reach
Princeton: reach
Brown: high match/low reach
UPenn (Wharton): low reach, would be high math but very competitive program
MIT: reach
Stanford: reach to high match depending on your essays. Your scores fulfill the academic requirement, it’s all down to your essays and ecs.
UChicago: low reach/highmatch depending on your essays.
Duke: high match
JHU: match

All of the reaches are definitely attainable, I would be surprised if you didn’t get into to at least one of them probably like 2.

Thank you for the bump! I’d like to posit something else: hypothetically, if I qualified for the USAMO, would I basically be in anywhere I wanted to attend?
