<p>That stat in the title was totally fabricated but now that I have your attention, chance me for Duke RD? </p>

<p>I have a 4.0 GPA UW 4.4 W and I'm salutatorian of my class of about 500. I'm black (moved from Nigeria at age 5). My sat scores are as follows:
SAT I: Didn't send
SAT II: Didn't send
ACT composite: 30
Teacher and guidance recs are good I suppose, didn't get to see them.
Essays were solid
EC: I'm captian of my soccer team, president of math honor society and VP of NHS. Also a member of various other clubs such as science honor society, environmental club, sophmore and junior steering, I have about 150+ hours of community service.</p>

<p>How rigorous have your classes been? There is a huge differnce between taking basic college prep classes and pursuing AP classes in all core subject areas.</p>

<p>How challenging is your high school? There is a huge difference between 500 graduates who all go on to four-year universities, including HYP, and 500 graduates who have only 50 advance to college.</p>

<p>Your ACT is obviously low but it sounds like you have a strong commitment to your ECs.</p>

<p>@rmldad I’ve taken rigorous classes throughout my high school career (10 classes to be exact) and gotten 4’s and 5’s on all of the exams</p>

<p>Also, I’d regard my high school as just your average public school, not extremely competitive but also not a complete joke…</p>

<p>Your ACT score is a little low for Duke, as is your weighted GPA. I’d call it a reach.</p>
