<h2>"threatening" makes this option wrong because why? I would like to know why - all I know is that it sounds weird.. some sort of misplaced modifier thingy.</h2>

<p>My mother, [whose] advice I have always [heeded], knows my abilities and [vulnerabilities] better than [myself].</p>

<h2>"myself" is wrong, but I want to know why. I sorta sounded it out. But I would like to know what gramatically makes it wrong. I'm generally confused when I see "myself/herself/themselves etc when it is tested on the writing section.</h2>

"in explaining" is wrong. it should be AT explaining? yes?</p>
