Assess President’s Roosevelt’s conduct of American foreign policy after 1935. When and why did he move from isolationism to interventionism? Did he purposely lead the US into war? Why or why not?

Thesis; The United States began to intervene once Roosevelt realized the extreme of the threat Germany was causing and the sole purpose was to provide western democracies all aid short of war.

At what point was American entry into the way inevitable? explain
Thesis; The fall of France and the horrid attack on Pearl Harbor were turning points that caused Americas entry into the war inevitable this is because after these events the United States had to intervene to stop the effects of the dictators.

hey don’t worry about being mean, i know i am terrible at them :)

bump please

Here's a suggested thesis for Number 1:

The Lend-Lease Bill marked the decisive turning point in Roosevelt's decision to abandon isolationism and embrace a policy of interventionism. FDR recognized that America's security was closely tied to Great Britain. With the British in deep trouble, President Roosevelt had to convince the American people that the United States had to become the "arsenal of democracy." President Roosevelt's policy was not based upon duplicity; it was based upon geopolitical necessity.

Topic 2: The Fall of France occurred in June 1940 and the dastardly (better word than "horrid") attack on Pearl Harbor occurred on December 7, 1941. The two events are separated by 18 months. Personally, I believe that the passage of the Lend-Lease Bill in March 1941 made American entry into WWII inevitable. Another interesting possibility would be the freezing of all Japanese assets and the cessation of all shipments of gasoline to Japan in mid 1941. This would make for an interesting thesis. Good luck!

PBABY, yours aren't bad, but I would definitely go with something similar to TestMonster's.

thanks, but my teacher wants us to encompass the whole answer, in one concrete sentence. that is a "blueprint" for the essay.
