Haha, I usually hate the people who ask for essay ideas online (I mean, what kind of a moron can't think of an essay TOPIC? Apparently, me.), but I've honestly run dry of decent ideas.
I can basically write a thesis paper on anything from the end of the Civil War to about the early 2000s. I'd kind of prefer a Cold War era essay topic, since that's what most of my research has been geared towards. I've been looking into the Truman Doctrine, but can't think of a position on that (which is the whole point of a thesis paper :P).
So if anyone has topic ideas/position ideas, hit me up.
(If you even think there's a fascinating doctrine/event/person/shoe/whatever, let me know.)
THANK YOU.

Oh, and not to be annoying, but please don’t be too specific; I would hate to be accused of plagiarism.

Ah lucky, I’d love to be able to choose from such a wide range of topics for a paper!

Okay, so how about McCarthyism? About whether he was justified in his claims, or if he went too overboard.

If you don’t like that, I’ll try and think up some more unusual ones.

That’s a pretty good topic… but McCarthy was pretty much seen as a mudslinger… and those who now say he was correct in his accusations are kind of rare (and extremely Republican [not that that’s bad; just an observation]). I’m not sure if I could really create an argument out of what’s seen as a straight forward topic… Hm. I’ll mull over it. In the meantime, any other ideas?

Okay how about Bay of Pigs. Or Cuban Missile Crisis. Or MAD (Mutual Assured Destruction)?
