<p>AHH! Is this legal? UCLA just notified me that I have been changed from a res hall triple (Hedrick) to a suite in Hedrick Summit, and are making me pay $555 more this quarter. I have already paid the fees for the triple in Hedrick res hall. GODdddddddd I have been shafted by the administration. I was perfectly happy with a triple in Hedrick!! Can I change it back?</p>

<p>But I do know that a lot of kids are being moved out of hedrick hall to be moved into hedrick summit or the suites. </p>
<p>So, it could have been worse. You can try and call ucla and ask if you change back.</p>
<p>The same happened to me except they didn't make me pay any more than I already did. I asked a similar question earlier and the responses I got indicated that you can't change back. But call and see if it can happen</p>
<p>Hmm.. I wonder why they are not making you pay more? It's quite a bit more money.. $2000, around! My parents think they may have looked at income when doing this. GRRRrrrrrrrrr. Income too high for finaid, but they still feel they can milk another couple thousand out of us. Aghh</p>

<p>Like, really. They didn't move you because they thought they could get more money. They moved you (and apparently lots of other people) for some other mysterious reason. It's not as if they're putting someone in a lower income bracket into the triple that they kicked you out of. </p>

<p>UCLA facebook 2010 group has several students who had this happen. ALL were in Hedrick, and all were either transferred to Summit or Hitch. So it appears they overestimated their space in Hedrick.</p>
