They still don't have my stuff!

The UChicago credentials checker is now asking that missing materials be re-submitted. Check there for more details.

Yup, everything's now showing up for mine. FINALLY. Figures that it's scanned into the system on the last day.

You guys still missing things have until December 3rd to get everything in.

My last remaining thing was scanned into the system on the last day too....hmmm.....interesting......especially so since it was sent about six weeks ago....this process mystifies me. Still, I'm so glad they now have everything. The waiting begins!

According to the credential checker my application is missing a recommendation, but I did not get an email that said I was missing anything yet. I'm not sure what to do.

DZ^^ Pay attention to the credential checker and have your teacher fax a copy of the recommendation today! Don't wait for an email telling you a recommendation letter is missing.

Yes, you should go ahead and have your teacher fax the recommendation, rather than wait for an email.

It's possible they don't have your correct email address. You could check that by logging on to your online application. See where it says, near the top, "Your admissions counselor is [whoever it is]. Email [that person's first name]"? Just click on the "Email [your couselor's first name]" link. A box will open up that has your email address filled in, in the From field. Is the address correct?

In any case -- whether your address is correct or not -- you should just go ahead and have your teacher fax the recommendation.

If the credentials checker is still showing it missing, I concur with the previous postings. Get your recommendation to them by Monday.

I'm one of the people who recommended having your teacher send in the recommendation, but I just want to point out that Libby Pearson recently posted a comment in the Uncommon Application blog saying that they are giving applicants the option of having the file read without the recommendation. Check the comments at https://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=17894916&postID=3098963502957051834. Libby's comment is the 30th one; it starts: "What's up with your missing teacher recommendations...."
