How important or how much does the summer reading play into your Freshman year at Cornell? Is it a graded experience in some way? I do plan on reading the book but I was just wondering how much thought I would have to devote to it and the attached "Study Questions"

The answers are all on http://classof2009.cornell.edu

wow doerame, ru attending Cornell or not? I just looked at ur enormous posts, 13 in all, and u were accepted to a crapload of places and stony med program (which is like impossible to get into, like incredibly tough, kids who get into harvard don't get in there...only 5 spots available), and you are going to Cornellm just checking??

look at this kid's credentials, i mean i am going to cornell and i know its a fabuloussss school, but u had stuff that could get someone into harvard.

direct excerpt from his own post...

So stony brook or Ivy?..."

hey i'll be at cornell... if you still care about this post lol

hey, i have a friend who lives on long island who competed in all of those competitions, what high school did you attend?

But seriously...what if we forgot to do the summer reading and didn't have enough time the night before/were totally lazy?

I haven't done it yet either, don't feel bad...and I'm no slacker. I'm not spending more than an hour on the entire assignment, since it's not graded or anything...

I'm gonna read the book on the plane trip up then spend an hour thursday night writing some BS. Or I may search my computer for an old essay and turn that in.

Just do it, it is so easy to do. Read all the questions, find the one that you feel you can answer best. Think about it. Write the best you can off of the top of your head, and you will be done in less than an hour. Then once you have it done, you will be so relieved that it is out of the way.

i hope this isnt cut throat :-

hahaha good one ti83plus... ;)

how much should the essay me double spaced?

The book's actually quite good :).
