Things I Wish I Had Known about Caltech Earlier

Inspired by an identical thread in the Dartmouth College forum, this thread I hope will help us prefroshes better enjoy out time at Tech with the help of the wisdom of current Techers. So if you current Techers could please post advice for us wee prefroshlings whether it be academic or social in nature, we'd be very grateful.

Anyone? This forum seems to be pretty inactive lately. :(

Maybe because now is the final exam week

Oh didn't know that, thanks for the info.

I wish I'd known it rained in California every few months. (then i might have decided to bring along an umbrella)

I wish I'd known that it hardly every rains and seasons are nonexistent. Well, it's not like I'd do anything different, but it's something that I hadn't realized.

What about things like professors, classes, etc? Anything you all wish you would have known earlier?

I wish I would have realized earlier that houses are quite exaggerated during rotation. I realized it somewhat, but not to the extent I should have.
