What do A&M students usually do to have fun besides party at bars and clubs? I will not be partying too much only occasionally and I do not drink so I will not be going to the bars. What is there to do in College Station besides party? What do typical A&M students do to have fun beside attending the football games? How does the social life/activities in College Station compare to Austin? I am a guy if that helps.

i have a lot of friends who go there, most of which abstain from partying, and they tell me that there are a ton of things to do besides hit up bars. there are a lot of student club/groups you can join, and IM sports are pretty popular. the university itself also hosts a bunch of events like movie screenings, although with the close of the msc i'm not sure how that will change. i would say that as far as comparing c.s. to austin, austin wins in activities simply because it is a bigger city, but that doesn't mean that there is nothing to do in c.s. are you thinking about the corps at all?

Well, if you are not planning on going to bars and clubs, that is a large part of the Austin scene, so keep that in mind. My friends and I don't party or go to bars, but we are all involved in various groups and clubs. We also hang out and play Rock Band and such. Basketball games are our newfound fun. Being in Engineering, we don't have a lot of time on our hands.

Oh thanks for the help. lions01 I'm not looking in the Corps sorry! It's just not me. bandnerd91321 what engineering field are you in? Are all the engineering fields very difficult and do most engineering students have very little free time to have fun? I know it's difficult but just how difficult is it compared to say someone majoring in accounting. I am considering accounting because I am good in math.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Please feel free to answer my questions and give more advice.
