<p>There is a theater in the Tate Center on campus, but it generally shows just one movie per weekends. I don't believe there are any commercial theaters within walking distance from campus. However, I think there is one which you can get to by taking the Athens public bus. I don't know what your situation will be like, but UGA students get free passes onto all Athens city transit systems.</p>
<p>Again, I don't believe there are any grocery stores/Targets within walking distance of campus, but I think you can get there if you're willing to take the bus. I haven't explored all of the area north of North Campus, though, and that's full of restaurants--it's conceivable that there might be a little grocery shop there.</p>
