Besides going on the college tour and information session what do you believe i should spend some time seeing? What isn't included on the tour that you think everyone should see before going to Wake Forest? Any suggestions of things to do during the visit?

-Seeing dorms other than the ones they show you. At Wake you see the oldest dorms, so those are the least desirable ones you could get. At other schools, they may show you the best dorms. Spend time looking at other dorms so you know what you’re in for.
-Eat in the cafeteria. You’re going to spend four years eating the cafeteria food, and if you can’t tolerate it you’re not going to be happy. The food is pretty good at Wake, though.
-Talk to real students!! Some of them will tell you the actual facts. I love when people on tours ask me questions.
-DEFINITELY DEFINITELLLLLLY check out the library. It’s so important to have a library you like. I can’t imagine what my life would be if I couldn’t stand our library. The Wake tour takes you through the library but you might want to explore a bit more.

Just walk through the campus and make sure you hit up spots that the tour doesn’t go past. You’d be surprised at what you’re going to love/hate.

I don’t remember for sure some of the things that are/aren’t included on the tour Wahh! Getting old.

To add to what pinkcupcake14 said, see if you can sit in on a class (unless that’s included in your tour) that would interest you in college. It can be very helpful to see the real student-professor interactions. You’d probably have to arrange that well beforehand, though.

When we went on the tour back in October they took us to the newest dorm that just opened this year. Don’t recall the name, but wow it is definately fantastic. They have set aside a room just for the tours, all decorated in Wake Forest stuff. It also helps if you contact someone that goes to Wake now so that they can give some inside info.

If you like sports, you should try to attend a basketball game, baseball game, etc. to see how spirited the school is!! We love college sports and I think that played a part in my daughter choosing Wake over NYU. Also, it looks as though you should go by Krispy Kreme donuts while you’re in town!
