Things to do while waiting for decisions?

So I still have between now and April first for a deciscion from Temple, Syracuse, Chicago, and U rhode island....

HOW DO I PASS THE TIME?!?
I've been stalking my mail man and obsessivly checking my online status checks from my phone....

serious/sarcastic/funny ideas for what can i do to make the days go by faster
i cant deal with this suspense T_T

breathe, eat, sleep, ****

Go into stripping

Play a very addicting video game, after getting your final semester in order, of course. :)

Good examples: Starcraft, World of Warcraft, Minecraft, and anything else that ends in -craft.

fapcraft

‘’'

I thought syracuse had rolling notifications? I know I didn’t find out on X date, I found out sometime in feb/march.

High ridin

Do scholarship applications!

^
That’s what I’m doing. So tedious…

@Alix syracuse starts sending all their decisions out around
march 18th if you applied RD

and i keep forgetting about scholarships ugh, there’s so many i don’t even know where to start and which ones to apply for? my dad bought me a huge scholarship book I was like oh hell no i’m not sifting through this…

Organize! Whenever time seems to be going by slowly for me I start organizing things… just anything I can think of. I organize my notebooks, my desk, my purse. Start thinking of ways you’d like to improve your current system of organization and consider what you need to implement your ideas. Once you get started, you’ll probably realize that there’s a lot of other things you could change too. (I started organizing my class notebooks and it inspired me to put together a recipe book for all of my random clippings of recipes magazines, now turning things into notebooks has become a long-term project. lol) The bonus of doing this other than it helping you to pass time… you’ll go into your first semester at a new school with “a place for everything and everything in its place!”

Learn Russian.

Compare mascots:
Temple- Hooter the Owl
Syracuse- Otto the Orange
Chicago- Phoenix the Maroons…or the Maroon Phoenix?
Rhode Island- Rhody the Ram

ALSO…sup with colleges having colour nicknames? Blues, Crimson, Maroons, “Big” Red, Violet, Reddie (???), Cardinal (“the color”), Orange…did I miss any? Probably.

I really wish that CC had a like button the way facebook does…

Dude get words with friends on ur phone. I can’t stop playing an it consumes me. I’m currently in a game with 18 people.

Spend too much time on CC reading about things that have nothing to do with you/your prospective college student.

Oh, and also play “Words with Friends” - three or four games at time, minimum.

killzone 3…awesome game.

college humor. I have read almost every issue of Roommate confessions and can confirm that if my roommate slips up in any way… retribution will be swift. And stellar.

other than that, Hulu, reading all the books I keep meaning to read, reworking my entire wardrobe (prep –> slightly boho prep), shopping, learn an instrument, goodmusicallday.com, and, if you’re desperate, schoolwork. But only if it gets really bad.

I would agree with doing schoolwork! I’m also frantically waiting for answers from colleges, and since I decided to take 5 AP classes this year, the nearly 5-6 hours of homework I have each day really does keep me busy lo. BUT it’s sooooooo hard to actually get all of that homework done when I literally go on the internet at LEAST every 20 minutes to check my status.
But, if you don’t have that much homework, you should go hang out with friends, read some books, or just go on college reviews and stuff lol

If you do decide to read a book, you should definitely read “Unwind” by Neal Shustermann. It’s a really good teen future-based book about evil parents sending their “unworthy” or “bad” children to Unwind camps where they take apart their bodies and give the parts to other people who need them. It’s extremely captivating, and you will definitely get really into it and stop thinking about college while reading.
I would also recommend “The Alchemyst” by Michael Scott. It’s AMAZING.

This thread is great. All I have been able to do to distract myself is clean my room… But that’s taking too long and I always end up back on my iPod checking to see if I have an email from a school that magically decided to tell everyone 20 days ahead of time (it hasn’t happened yet…)
