I just put in my application to G Tech (early admission) and I'm wondering what you think my chances are.
Academically I've done 9-10th grade all honors with one AP Class, and 11-12th grade Ive been IB ( SL Math Studies, but HL Chemistry). My GPA isn't so great at its 3.4 ( It should be closer to a 3.5 with G Tech full weighting). My Class ranks definitely in the top 1/3rd (just barely but still there.) My SAT's were pretty bad (1540) but I'm taking them again and pretty sure I'll score in the 1800's range.
Extracurricular Activities:
Anime Club- President ( Ive been apart of it all through high school)
Art Club- One Year
Key Club- One Year
Swim Team- One Year
I've also been doing volunteering at the library for around 2 years, so i put it on my application.
I'm hoping to get in for Environmental Engineering, so tell me what you think.( I'm a black/white so I'm a minority but I don't think Georgia Tech cares about that.)

If you get an 1800 on your SAT, your chances are still pretty low…

I got new class rank today: 52/313

You are definitely on the low end of the spectrum in terms of GPA, SAT (even with an 1800), and class rank. Your extracurriculars do look good however. Make sure you have a back up school(s) in case you do not get into Tech.

Yeah I realized that and I applied to Southern Polytechnic x_x IB killed my GPA more than I thought it would but I figured it would’ve looked bad to just do AP when I could have done IB you know.I did do early admission so I’m hoping I’ll get a deferred instead of denied so I have more time to take my SATS and actually study for them.
