i have a 3.5 something ga tech weighted gpa
but a 2130 on the SAT, with an 800 in Math

how are my chances looking based on that?

Also, do you have to report AP exam scores? because some of mine suck but others are good.

Thank you,

Depends on rigor of course, ec activities, and your essay. You should have a pretty good chance otherwise

i took about 11 ap courses so far
i took both calc AB and BC, but only got a B in both
and as for EC
part of robotics team, programming head for some seasons
2nd degree black belt tkd
I got to GHP state level for tech.
i am also getting a industrial certification for electronics from an online canadian college
and then the usual sci.olympiad, leadership club, Odyssey of the mind

and that gpa is tech waited, mu unweighted gpa is 3.4 something D:

so how does it look now?

It’s anyone’s guess. Tech does like GHP.

You might get a summer offer.

I know someone who was deferred and waitlisted with your exact GPA and test scores, four AP and about ten honors courses. His ECs were more sports and music related, however. If you’re going to be a senior, you can early apply and if deferred update your first semester senior grades and make one final argument for admission. If I were a tech admissions official, I’d like your ECs, but I’m not.

nice, will do! thanks guys,
side note: just took the SAT again in an attempt to get higher crit and writing scores…should I take the ACT also?

Thank You! :D

Retaking the SAT can only help you.
