Think it's true?

"Mid May. Students who are admitted for Fall are mailed a TAP Scholarship application."

I stumbled across this bold statement from Skyline College's UCLA page.

You can verify it here near the end of the page:
<a href="http://www.smccd.net/accounts/skyhon/HTP%20TAP%20Student%20Checklist.doc%5B/url%5D">www.smccd.net/accounts/skyhon/HTP%20TAP%20Student%20Checklist.doc</a></p>

Ooooh, I sure as hell hope so. But those were mailed a while ago. Do you really think they had all their final decisions already?

I think every TAP student with a 3.75 (generally) receives a TAP application in the mail…although TAP students do have a 90%+ acceptance rate from some cc’s.

Pretty sure it’s false. All of my TAP certified friends received it.

^^I just got mine last monday…so it hasn’t been that long

I got mine weeks ago, so I know at least ONE was mailed before they had their final decisions all ready to go.

Maybe all your TAP certified friends were admitted for Fall.

Honestly, because TAP has such a high admission rate, I don’t see why they would wait to only send the scholarships to admitted students. In the end, there will only be a relatively small handful who are TAP certified and not admitted.

Possibly, but I don’t think that’s the case. Hopefully, it is though. We shall see in the next couple of days.

omg, I hope so. I totally got one awhile back

I don’t think the people who send out scholarship letters have much to do with admissions…

my friend is majoring in bus econ and has a 3.0 and got one.

I’m sure it was a small mistake on my honors program’s part or a rough estimate about it. Don’t look so much into it.

Or maybe the TAP people changed their policy and decided to send scholarship apps to everyone?

Regardless, this doesnt mean anything.
