think this black gal has a chance?

<p>i'm a black female from a top 3 (probably second best) public high school in chicago. i'm gonna graduate with about 35 credits vs. the regular 24.</p>

<p>3.4 gpa
30 ACT
-31 english
-31 reading
-27 math
-29 science
90% of my core classes were honors, 1 AP (bio, which i got a 3 on the test but a D in the class :/)</p>

<p>EC's-
african american culture club
teens against tobacco use president
be an empowering blessing to someone today vice-president
jack and jill (which is a service/social organization basically)
i have 54 clocked hours of community service...if i ever get my sheets filled out it'd probably be in the 100's</p>

<p>think i got a chance? maybe my minority status could get me a scholarship?</p>

<p>a merit scholarship would be extremely unlikely</p>

<p>I think you have a decent shot at admission, but definitely don't count on a scholarship. You might also consider University of Chicago since it has scholarships set aside for CPS students.</p>
