OP, you are getting a lot of great advice from people here, especially regarding the need to get some counseling
One thing that I would add: do consider rushing some frats next month. There are tons of frats at Cornell, with a variety of personalities, and made up of students from across the spectrum of majors and colleges.
A few years ago, several Cornell students I know were very sure Greek life was not for them, and did not rush freshman year. But after less-than-satisfying social lives first semester of sophomore year, they decided to attend the rush information sessions in January to see what their options were, and all of them ended up joining frats/sororities. Greek life has been a great way for them to get to know students in other majors, even if they don’t attend all the parties/mixers. These students continued to make friends in their majors and from extracurriculars, and most were glad they gave Greek life a try.
Good luck to you whatever path you take!
