Hi!

I'm a sophomore at UCLA, and I have been loving my whole experience here. It's just that I'm Catholic, and I have been educated and influenced by the Jesuits throughout my academic life. Spirituality, Jesuit spirituality specifically, is lacking here and I just thought that transferring to a Jesuit school like Fordham or Georgetown could possibly answer this. I'm definitely not sure yet about transferring, since I really love it here and I can say that UCLA has been a "semi-perfect fit", giving me opportunities for me to grow as a person and letting me enjoy college life in general(discounting the thing about religion), but this gnawing feeling about what I've been missing bothers me. So given my situation, I figured that there's no harm in applying to transfer and I wanted to know what makes a successful transfer application to Gtown. I also want to know if applying to transfer is worth all the fuss given my stats. A little bit about myself:

Stats:
Major - History
College GPA - 3.89
SAT - Math -630, CR - 700
SAT II - World History 800, Biology E - 740, Literature - 750

I am planning on asking a professor who is famous in his field (medieval history) for a recommendation if in case I do decide to complete a transfer application.

So yeah, given my stats, do I have a shot at transferring, and do you think that transferring for the sake of religion, or the need to be in contact with Jesuit priests whenever I want is worth it? I would also want to know more about Financial Aid. I have briefly scanned through Gtown's website just now, and I have the impression that their FA system works like the ivies. Is this correct?

Btw, I applied as a first-year to Gtown two years ago - I got deferred EA, and finally got accepted regular decision, although I did choose UCLA at the end. Would this be "plus points" for my app?

Thanks for reading!
