Thinking of transfering, need advice

I'm thinking of transfering from my current university to GA Tech. Right now I have a 3.33gpa and a 3.5 math/science gpa. I'm a 23 year old African-American in state student majoring in CS. My first question is do you think I have a shot of getting in? My second one is how hard/demanding are the upper level courses at Tech? Thanks in advance!

I think you have a good chance. Just make sure you have taken all the required math/sciences and have at least 30 credits that transfer. If you do, then you are fine.

The CS classes are a lot of work. Tech has a reputation of having awful intro CS classes (in terms of difficulty), but since you have passed those, I think you will have a more enjoyable experience than most undergraduates.

Thanks for the replies, and yes I’ve completed all the transfer pre-reqs & have more then 30 credits. I should be entering as a Junior. Also thanks for the reply about the
CS courses and hopefully since I’ve completed most/all of the intro classes I can skip weeder classes. Hopefully I get in I can’t wait to try some of the more challenging classes tech has to offer.
