This Brown Essay is Killing me

Since I'm a computer science major I have to write an extra three essays, one of which is:

What concept in your anticipated major were you most proud of mastering? (500 words!)

Now I have no idea where to go with this. I tried writing about my proficiency with web design but I ended up writing the majority of the essay on a computer-oriented service club I started which really isn't computer science related. I'm finding it really hard to spend a whole page talking about web design. Any ideas!?

Thanks

btw, should I get technical with this essay? I don't want to scare away my admission officer.

Be creative about it... approach it from another angle. Find something completely unrelated and weave that into computer science. Tell them 2 things about you at once. I'd try not to get too technical either.

That's what I did for all of my essays.

I know how you feel! I have 4 applications left and 3 of them are simply.. "Why Engineering?" While Brown... has to ask, why engineering, what led to your interest in engineering, and why the concentration.

Ive been staring at the blinking cursor for almost 5 hours not know what to write that isn't overtly boring.

haha.. that's why I'm not applying for comp sci major :p

I feel sorry for ppl applying to PLME... they have to write like 6essays or something...

umm... 6 essays for PLME? no... only 2 extra essays for plme. unless i missed something...

Where on the Brown application does it say that that essay has to be 500 words? The paper app just has a two-part question with a page's worth of lines for a handwritten essay, and it does not specify a minimum or maximim amount of words to be used.
