This give me a better chance at Cal or UCLA?

Okay, so I am a first year student in community college in Oregon and among my top choices in schools are Cal-Berkeley, UCLA, and Stanford (my dream reach!). Would I have a significantly better chance of getting into these schools if I transfer to a California community college (I am thinking Fullerton or Orange Coast) and then apply for transfer after my sophomore year? Or would this simply not matter, and should I just stay where I am and do well?

I appreciate any advice you may have. Thanks!

I think it takes a year to gain California residency. But regardless, I think classes from a CCC as opposed to an Oregon CC, will give you better chances.

I agree with kevintech as taking classes from a CCC would be better than where you are currently.
