This is awful- University of Tennessee Investigation

What diffference? While my message is abstain, I know from personal experience that a young person may be tempted to try stuff that is really dangerous. Grain alcohol “punch” made with 190 proof Everclear, Ripple and Hawaiian Punch comes to mind (barely). So, I’d like to know about absorption etc. to pass along to my son, my 18 year old niece and my 22 year old nephew.

Also, I am curious to see if the parents and boys involved are more concerned about making sure no one thinks the boys would do anything rectally than wildly excessive alcohol consumption. If it is medically impossible or highly unlikely that lower proof wine can be consumed orally in sufficient quantities to get to a .40 blood alcohol level, then I’d like to know that since (to me) it would shed some light on the issue.

Sometimes discretion truly is the better part of valour. Holding a press conference and issuing a press release probably wasn’t the best decision in this case.
