who do i make the application fee check out to? lol it's dumb things like this that confuse me, not multivariable calc :)

Make it out to T. Brown, Colchester, Vermont.

mit seems like a more appropriate payment

geez cujoe you can't visit us in the high school forum anymore?

You have two choices (according to the "Download Paper Application" forms available from the "How to Apply" tab at the MIT Undergraduate Admissions website):

Make the check payable to "MIT Office of Admissions" (according to Part 1 of the application form).

or

Use this formto pay the application fee by credit card.

Here's a more generic answer... No matter where you are applying, if you make out your check to the university, it will very likely to credited to your application as long as you either mail it with your application or indicate it is for your application in a cover letter/note.
