This is just cruel.

Totally agree nothing…

The waitlist I received today just increased the torture. Now I have to wait up to another extra 1-2 months to receive another acceptance/rejection from NYU. :(

I wish they’d just go ahead and say that the last batch was rejections. No need to be so secretive.

Yeah, I agree. I still haven’t received anything. NYU was tied for my #1 choice, but I just wish something would come regardless.

I’d be ecstatic with even a waitlist, but I’m not that optimistic anymore.

Just got my rejection today. I’m not even upset that I didn’t get in, I’m just disappointed with how NYU did this. I knew I was going to be rejected since it took so long to hear back from.

I am very sad that I was rejected since it was my #1, but I’m even more despondent that they couldn’t be more upfront about it; they didn’t even SEAL my (and others’) rejection letter. I mean seriously, you give your acceptance letters two weeks before everyone else. The waiting is agonizing and nerve-wrecking. The hardest part about this is that if I was informed two weeks ago, I have two weeks to get over it. Hearing about it yesterday is tough because not only am I going to Manhattan for an orchestra performance early next week, but I’m going to see my cousin who took the time to write an alum. recommendation letter for me and I’ll have to tell him I didn’t get in. Plus my family who’s going to watch my performance was counting on me to get in. I know they’ll give me support, but I feel like I’ve let them down. If I was just told straight out two weeks ago, I would have the guts to face them and nyc. But no. Sorry for the rant.

I’m sorry, Francisco. NYU was my top choice as well and they also didn’t seal my envelope!! It was open when I got it in the mail today. I’m sure your family will support you with where you decide to go, and I wish you the best of luck at the school you end up. Also, maybe you could apply to NYU as a transfer after the first year?

cgales im in florida and havent gotten anything from nyu at all yet. are you south florida or closer to the state line?

Thanks for the kind words cgales. At least this is not the end of the road. I’m on my way to continue my education and the dream is law school. We’ll just wait and see what the future has in store.

I’m in South Florida krisjan. If you still haven’t gotten anything by like Monday maybe you should call them.

So did anyone get accepted from this last batch? My rejection letter was dated April 1st. When I called them on March 31st, they said that everything had been sent out. How ****ed up is that?

^ I think 2 or 3 people on this board got accepted this week. Apparently some people who got invites in March still haven’t gotten their acceptance packages yet… lol

Mine’s dated April 1 too but on the envelope it says March 30. I think they just did that since that was the date we were supposed to be notified, you know?

Rejected. Big surprise. O.O

Rejected :[ got two of them …to confrim that i got rejected…

oh hm im like above south florida and i didnt get anything , called and they said it all went out by wednesday but we have slow mail… i hope i get in though after all this waiting.
