It's April 1st... and I've still got nothing.

Anyone else?

If so, what school are you waiting on? I'm waiting on Recorded Music and Tisch...

I'm going crazy here!

i was told by my college counselor that we can call and request decisions if we don't receive anything from the schools by April 1st

Nothing here either. I'm beginning to die a little inside every day without a decision.

Yes, still nothing at my house either. If they would just tell us "rejected" we could move on.

i feel myself going crazy

has anyone tried calling to find out their decision?
i dont think i could personally handle hearing a rejection over the phone which is why im stopping myself from callign them up...

yeaH underStooD, it mAY takE a whilE tO picK uP thaT phonE.

I called, and was told I should have received an email offering me a spot on the waitlist.

A small envelope came today, so I assume a reject. Glad to have it behind us, best of luck to any of the rest of you still chugging through this painful process!

STILL NOTHING! I must have some really bad karma for this to take so long...

If you haven't gotten anything, I would suggest calling and bugging them. Apparently I was supposed to receive an email or a letter, and I received neither...

April 2. still nothing AT ALL..

NYU's web site says that they're sending some decisions out the first week of this month.

Still, you might try contacting them.

guys, call and find out. maybe for some reason they didn't send you an email? Decisions have been made at this point, I'm assuming, so your calling admissions won't bug them or anything I guess.

i called today and they wouldn't release decisions. they said the last batch of decisions was mailed today. seems like a "go away" response, but whatever.

so now is it safe to assume that we all got rejected?

well, good luck. hope you guys find out soon and get in :)

Even if I was to be accepted now, why would I enroll?
I mean, I am really resourceful and I can handle a bad administration. But the point is that I don't want to pay 46k a year and still have to struggle with incompetent administration officers. As an international student, I feel like I am going to have to go through a lot more than regular US students. I will need to have a team advising me on visa issues, immigration etc.

So far: I applied to NYU through CommonApp. I never got ANY kind of notification following my application. I had to call them, wait 5/6 minutes until someone would take the phone, and then just be told that "we have your application, nothing is missing". Now, it is April 3rd and still nothing in the mail/email box.

That's probably because people prefer small Liberal Arts Colleges. Whatever the resourcefulness, you get an administration dramatically responsive to your demands.
I know a record number of students applied this year. Notwithstanding this, it was known far before the application process started that a lot of people would apply.

College is a time of intellectual developement, not a contest to who will survive in the most hostile environment. This will came after graduation.

On the NYU forum all decisions supposedly went out on the 28th. I feel like I need some closure. I really want to get in here, and the extra wait is killing me.

ive got nothing.. im sick of rushing to my mailbox thinking somethings gonna be in there every day.

very frustrating. everyones making final decisions on where to go, and i dont even know if my top choice wants me or not
