<p>My school doesn't offer AP classes, except for AP spanish, which I'm taking this year. If I don't take an actual AP class, but take the test, will a college count that at all? I know that some are willing to let you skip certain classes if you have AP credits...would the test count at all?

I think that by self-studying the class, you are demonstrating to colleges that you are willing to study harder material, despite your restrictions at your school. I think that it would be portrayed as a positive:)</p>

<p>Don’t forget to find a location to take your tests, as your school might not offer them.</p>
<p>Don’t worry, colleges won’t hold that against you come application time. Lots of schools have limited APs, so don’t fret too much Self-studying APs makes you seem responsible, curious about learning, and full of ambition/initiative. Good luck :)</p>
