<p>I still remember the black and white TV news images of this, Ike sending in federal troops etc. This was the first time race issues really entered my consciousness at the age of 8.</p>
<p>Wow! Kudos to Marquette too for starting the EOP program. It sounds like Marquette has been promoting issues of equity and access for a long time. A reminder that we consider more than just the stats in making a college choice.</p>
