This may be a stupid question, but I need to know

How can someone take an AP class independent study? I have found that EPGY allows Physics and Mathematics courses, but what about macro- and microeconomics, computer science, etc.? I will take some classes at a local university, but they are not technically AP classes. What should I do?

um, you study for hte AP exam...and then you take it.

ithink

Check out the Florida Virtual School: Welcome to Florida Virtual School You can also just study them by yourself, using a textbook and an AP prep book.

Note, though, that actual college courses are generally considered to be more educationally rigorous than taking an AP class - that's how admissions officers will view them, and it will probably be easier for you to get credit for them once you're accepted. Something to keep in mind when you're taking your university classes, since you seem worried about the fact that they're "not technically APs".

Yeah. That makes total sense. Besides, I want to take Calculus III, Diff. Equations for Science and Engineering, Linear Algebra, and Quantum Mechanics at a university. That is much better than getting credit for something that I did not study rigorously, as you said, just so I could say that I took it. I would not want to walk into an advanced class about material that I only touched on lightly before so that I could take an AP test. Thanks
