Do any of you guys no anyone who would need this sort of volunteer work? (I’m totally serious…anybody related to someone in a foreign country who has a farm or b and b? Hook me up!)

I’ve emailed some museums and b and b’s today…so far I haven’t heard anything…what should I do next?

Yes, this is an odd post, but I would appreciate any advice or feedback!

i dont think you should be look for 'connections' through a college forum like this..it's best to ask if your dad or uncle or whoever knows people..

Easy - find a kibbutz in Israel. They can always use the help!

there is a program out there that connects volunteers with small family farmers -- I can remember the group, but it is somehow connected with family farms and sustainable agriculture. They have farms all over the world you can work in -- you get room and board, but it is usually very, very basic (what the family gets). no pay.

For the right person, it would be a fantastic experience -- a way to see how the people in a country really live -- not just the rich people.

When I get home I will see if I marked it as a favorite on my home computer -- I think I did (my son was interested)

thanks guys! Chedva, I looked up kibbutz on the internet and it seems like alot of fun! Hsmomstef, that sounds great too, I'm looking forward to learning more about it!
