This might seem a little trivial, but...

UCLA Undergrad Admissions: Profile of Admitted Transfer Students by Major, Fall 2007

As of what time period are these GPA's for admitted students?

GPA at the time of application in November?
GPA after fall semester before transferring?
GPA after spring semester before transferring (and presumably right before UCLA entrance?)?

I ask this because my GPA got off to a pretty mediocre start and I've been increasingly improving it, and thus my GPA after summer, fall, and spring semesters will all be somewhat "substantially" different.

Thanks!

Well, for it to be of any use, it is probably the GPA of applicants after the update; which is somewhere in Jan.

3.49 for Philosophy? Wow.

Should be after the fall semester because those stats were posted before the end of the spring semester, and it's the GPA they use during admissions.

I feel so optimistic now, haha.

well thats the 2007 profile, heres 2008: UCLA Undergrad Admissions: Profile of Admitted Transfer Students by Major, Fall 2008

it appears that all of the average gpa's are a tad higher in 2008... i guess us humans are evolving!

yawn: the gpa they use is after the fall semester

You're right, interesting. 3.55 for Philosophy is still good news. :)
