OMG! now I really want our school to have a British exchange student!
sigh I agree with the whole accent thing. We had a czech student and I liked their accent. It was pretty funny.

Have you ever heard a South African accent? It's like a modified version of the British accent, and it's sounds beautiful. It's the only foreign accent (based on the accents I've heard so far) that is music to my ears. I can't fathom finding accents sexy though.

*it sounds

mmm i love british accents. i can't wait to study abroad in london :)

I love british accents, though I think Australian and french ones are even better ;)

Hahaha! I'm going on French exchange. =)

uh. haha. you have no clue. my friends all tease me for this, but I fall for accents (European). and I fall hardddd.
idk why. to me it just makes a guy like 1000x hotter.

like we went on a trip to London, France, Barcelona this spring break.
heaven I tell you.

so yeah. I want to go to college in the UK. or at the very least study abroad. I am in love with London too.
I definitely want to marry a European guy. :P

ahh yeah, that would be amazing ;)

that trip must have been heaven sigh

^it was
haha

we had this thing, the french teacher told us that saying "il me plait" basically means, "he's hot" so whenever we saw a hot guy we'd tell each other using that phrase. it was hilarious.

a french teacher told you that????

Man I wish my teacher would do that, actually next years french teacher would probably do that ;)

"my friends all tease me for this, but I fall for accents (European). and I fall hardddd.idk why. to me it just makes a guy like 1000x hotter."

haha you're not alone lol I don't understand how/why I'm like this... makes no sense lol I'm considering studying abroad in UK, partly (perhaps mainly, JK) because of this weakness of mine ;)

aikomidori
haha yeah. he tells us the MOST RANDOM stuff
but we never actually learned anything
we play solitaire during class and not one person didn't cheat on tests. someone even wrote down a bunch of irregular conjugations on the board during a midterm and it took him nearly 20 min to realize (nobody got penalized). he's so oblivious to anything.
class is like a study hall.
and the worst part is that he is the ONLY french teacher at our school.
Acerbic
me too. :P

haha...i love how when i create a totally serious thread, i get like 2 responses, if any. and here is my random thread, and i have 3 pages. oh, you people. lol.

We love the random threads; they're much easier to answer.

Random Fact: 2% of men claim to have pretended to have an accent while trying to pick up a woman.

I wonder what happens when the woman finds out that the sexy Englishman she meant to go out with turns out to be from small town USA. lol

^How obnoxious!!!

I hope I meet lots of guys with sexy French accents on French exchange... haha =)

I wonder if French/German/Italian/British/etc. people find "American" accents sexy? Probably not...

^Most people that I know don't really like the american accent... its not that we dislike it either, its just not inherently sexy...

A friend of mine from England and another from Cyprus love Southern accents, though :)

...not the hillbillyhick types...the normal ones.

Ooh! They had this Dateline or 20/20 or whatever on this guy who was from some little town in Nebraska or something... he moved and changed his name and faked a British accent for like a decade and had a wife and children who he actually convinced, get this!, that he was royalty... like he was kinda-sorta in line for the throne. And then one day he got caught and just skipped town I think... idk, I saw it awhile ago. That's what cowtipper1's comment reminded me of. :)

Most British people I know don't really care for American accents; they immediately assume your uneducated, in a way... sort of like how Southerners are viewed as dumb/ignorant by some people in other parts of the US.

My life goal is to marry a British man... even an Irish or Scottish one would do =)

Mine as well. I plan on studying abroad for a year in England, getting the man of my dreams to fall madly in love with me, and then move back to the States with me... A bit lofty, I know ;p
