Those of you... umich received my transcript late! HELP!

Umich received my transcript and recommendations on the 11/15/07

Will i not be considered for early response?

I think you are fine up until 11/10/07

yea you aren't going to be ER

My teacher rec wasnt recieved by them until 11/12...so im in the same boat as you

that happened to me too. i rushed to get everything done and i just found out that they had recieved my transcript on the 15 its horrific.

yeah same thing happened to me. They received my transcript and counselor rec on 11/14, even though she assured me that it would be there on time. Great.

Mine says 11-2 for my teacher rec, counselor rec, and transcript, then 11-1 for my test scores. Since my test scores were from June and I had them automatically sent to UM, I assume I am fine for Early Response, but I'm not totally sure. I made sure I sent the stuff far enough in advance to get there before 10-31, but I submitted my app on 10-30. Am I still eligible for ER?

Basically what happened with in is that my school MAILED the transcript and cons. rec. on like 9/27ish, but after two weeks, I called them and the lady went to "look" for them. She came back and told me that she "found" them and that my application is now complete (10/10). That cost me knowing in the first round of decisions. (I did get in on 11/8 though)

My school sent my transcript on October 14th and I went on to check my status on November 13th and it said they still hadn't gotten it. So I called the office of admissions and asked them about it and the guys checked and he was like "Oh yeah, we have all your stuff we just haven't put it in the computer yet." So now it says they recieved my transcript on 11/13. Do you think I'll still be considered ER?

"Dates up to and including November 10 indicate that our office received your application document(s) by the October 31, 2007 deadline for Early Response notification."

green713 i would call them about that, it can't hurt

same thing happened to me thanks to my incompetent counselor.. i reminded her like 3 days beforehand and everything! she probably thought it was postmark.... my "transcript recieved" date is 11/12, and everything else is on time. :( I was banking on hearing back from them too to decide whether or not I needed to apply to certain other schools....

what do you guys think our chances are of still hearing back by the ER deadline?

I have a feeling we aren't the only ones that had this happened to. So I think with sheer numbers, its doubtful to hear ER deadline unless you are CLEARLY admissable.

would that significantly change when you get your decision or could it only vary by 2-3 weeks

I remember...it happened to me as well when I applied to Michigan, but then I ended up getting in earlier than the general pool.

Keep calling them and explain your situation to them (why it's late blah blah) and call them periodically and email them periodically asking them if they received it. That's what I did.

Best of luck to you,

Damian

My teacher rec was mailed in mid September but I hadn't sent my app until mid October. After 2 weeks when I finally could check I noticed my teacher rec wasnt there and I called them on 11/6. Thats when they looked and realized they had gotten it.

Also, if you are a good applicant its still possible to hear from them before January. Its just not guaranteed, still possible though. Good luck

thx... has anybody "late" heard anything back yet? i've already emailed them and i'll call them this week, but im anxious to get a decision by the end of dec.

btw what are the chances of them looking at my application before they look at the EA applications even though my transcript was recieved late?

probably not high, because they need to get through all the early response first
