Those who have taken the Biology AP exam

I just took a practice exam today (Didn’t review much of cliffs… probably 100 pages out of 300-400 because I am rather lazy now) and didn’t do so hot. I got 53/100, which equates to about a 3. For those of you who have taken the exam, how did you score? The reason I am so worried is because I will be a Biological Science major and plan/hope to go onto medical school. However, getting a 53/100 is really disheartening, but it could be due to the fact that I haven’t reviewed all of the material in Cliffs, which is the result of senioritis. So I ask how did other fellow Aggies score.

I will be taking more practice exams later, haha.

I got a 5 on the exam last year. The only practice tests I took were the ones my teacher made us take and he counted them towards our grade.

why do you even care about AP Bio. You are going to have to retake it in College for premed.

Miraculously got a 5.
But yeah, you’ll have to take it again anyway (like I am right now oh please help me I hate this class), and as a science major, you’ll only get 4 units of credit for passing the exam whether you score a 3 or a 5.

A book that really helps in my opinion is 5 steps to a 5.

Really easy to read and gets the main points across. I just read through the the few days before the test and got a 5 no problem.

I scored a 5 last year. Honestly, I didn’t buy a study book, I borrowed one, but I didn’t study much off of that either.

For me, I paid attention and tried hard in class.
I think that helped me out the most.
Good luck!

Cliffnotes is the best book! And don’t worry, it’s not terrible at this point to get a 3. If you go back and check all of your weakpoints, and then do a thorough once-over of the whole book again, you’re pretty much guaranteed to use a 5. I read Cliffnotes in its entirety twice, and memorized it, and got a 5 (admittedly, it might’ve been a bit excessive, but that was my first AP and it was in sophomore year) :3 Don’t forget to skim the labs!

When if you do get a good you’re only going to be getting credit for Biological Sciences 10. for premed you will need Biological Sciences 2A-2B-2C series. Getting credit for this test is pretty much pointless unless you’re using it to fill in extra units needed to graduate. I think on the UC Davis AP score website getting a 3, 4, or 5 will still give you the same credit for the course.

Everyone: Thank you for your support and words of encouragement.

I checked my AP scores yesterday on my Davis myadmission page, and noticed I got a 5. :D

Thanks once again to all those who encouraged me to pull through!
