Thoughts on the Gonzaga dorm?

Hi all! My son is an incoming freshman who was recently placed in the Gonzaga building. We were just wondering if any of you could provide insight on various aspects of this dorm. For example:
-How close is it to classes?
-How nice are the rooms?
-Is there a certain culture that comes with living in this building?
-How do you feel about it overall?

We’re just looking to get a good feel for the dorm so that he can know what to expect when he gets there. Thank you so much in advance!!

Hey!

I hope this helps some:

-Gonzaga is located on Upper Campus, making it a 3-4 minute walk to the closest dining hall and 5-6 minutes to most academic buildings.

-It really depends on what room your son has. I believe Gonzaga has doubles, triples, and quads. I had a triple in a similar dorm and liked it. Doubles can get cramped, but they aren’t unbearable. Almost all freshmen have similar housing, so it won’t be like he’s missing out by not having a room elsewhere on Upper.

  • There really isn't a specific culture tied to the building. It's probably just as active as the other dorms on Upper are in terms of social life.
  • I always liked the location of Gonzaga, but never lived there. I had a handful of friends that did live there, however, and enjoyed it.
