Thoughts?

First, a bit of background:

Next year I will be a junior. My strong points in school are History, English, French, and Spanish (more so History and Spanish.) I'm considering a major in International Relations, because I just LOVE culture. I love going new places, meeting the people, and living like them. I have a few questions as to what I should do over my summer of my Junior year to reflect that.

1) What can I do to reflect my love for culture? I participated in a foreign exchange program in Mexico City this year, over this summer I'm spending three weeks in Europe with my honor choir traveling through six countries, and next year I'll be going to France for a foreign exchange. I was thinking over my Junior year summer I could do another foreign exchange, for about three months? The other foreign exchanges I've done have been two weeks.

2) Is there anything else I can do besides do a foreign exchange program?

Thanks.

Edit: For my exchange over my Junior summer I was thinking about going somewhere interesting, maybe French speaking Africa? Or a South American country?

Try applying for TASP. It sounds like you would fit in perfectly.

Well how else do you reflect your love for something that you love than to do it as much as you can. I’m sure colleges can see your passions through your actions, both private and personal. Just do what you love, and the college that fits you best will understand and recognize it. Try to create/join a culture club, and become an active participant. Remember, just do the things you love because you love them, not because they are good for college apps.

Oh I see. Culture club is interesting.

Maybe community service in a poverty stricken country that speaks Spanish? I love Spanish and I love Community Service… good match? Ha.
