What admission result were you informed of in the email?
I will add a caveat re Brown: PLMEs can take almost every class as an S/NC except their required Bio classes ( 4 of them), which have to be a B or higher.
So that 3.0 GPA could be based on 4 classes lol, which right now is my kid’s intention 
well tech 3 classes since 4th bio can be S/NC if they get Bs in the other 3
