Yes, I completed the supplement earlier than the due date (pretty sure it is due in January) and then I received an interview invite.
Who they? FAU?
there was no interview with RIT. they sent a supplement, and then i was forwarded to upstate and received a supplement from them. i received the upstate supplement last Thursday.
Did any of you receive a second award $ letter from NJIT after getting into honors ? Does NJIT give full ride scholarships ?
I heard they do give full ride for NMF but not sure about others. We havenât heard anything about scholarship yet other than forwarded to NJMS.
Yes. Would you know what FAUâs focus is @NoviceDad ? I believe it is much more recent medical school, so would love to hear perspectives about it.
Did all Rutgers-NJMS interview complete ? Ours was just like someone posted. done in 13 minutes. So my D did not get a good feeling. How many seats does Rutgers usually get for NJMS? Couldnt find any stats on this.
Based on previous years posts - Union/AMC should have gotten back with + or - by now I guess right ? 2 weeks into the submission of the supplemental (12/8)
I donât think that is correct if you are referring to NJIT. Their scholarships has nothing to do with NMF status. And yes, they give more than full ride, covering even part of room and board in their honors dorms, for almost all of BS/MD students (at least used to, not sure if Covid may change that).
Ok thanks for the correction
NJIT gives automatic full tuition for NM: https://www5.njit.edu/financialaid/typesofaid/scholarships/meritbasedawards.php#All%20Students
This is perhaps something they have recently added, not used to be (NMF). Nevertheless, there are other full ride scholarships too, so pretty much all BD/MD students would be covered.
NJIT has always given full-tuition to NMF. They used to give full-ride (tuition + room + board) for BSMD students, but I donâ t know if that is a formal policy and whether they still continue that.
I wouldnât worry too much about the duration of interview. I believe TCNJ interview is also short, and the interviewer specifically asked students to keep the responses succinct. I would encourage students to stay positive and expect the best.
My TCNJ interview wasnât short. It was a good 45-50 minutes and was a great conversation about my interests within medicine. I think itâs different for each student obviously, but youâre right in that I donât think length makes as much of a difference as the overall tone of the interview.
@Mom22DDs, here is the mission statement of FAU medical school. May be they are both community and research focused.
"The mission of the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine is to educate
physicians and scientists to meet the biomedical research and
healthcare needs of Florida; to advance knowledge through research
and innovation; and to serve patients and communities with respect and
compassion. "
Yes, meant for RIT I do not think there was any interview.
We have not heard from AMC yet. But they are likely meeting to discuss who to give interviews. Also offices must be closed now because of winter break. Has anyone heard?
6-8 for each Boca and Jupiter programs.
Donât know about BSMD but their regular route info brochure says
âApproximately 75 percent of students are Florida residentsâ
Does Stony Brook have IS preference?
