Three Questions regarding International (U.S.) Students

First of all, I recently read about UBC, and I must say, I am very interested.
But I have three complications that makes me “ehh…” about UBC.

First, I could not find any data about average stats. I don’t know if I am good enough to get a good scholarship or just applying for unreachable dream. How competitive is the admission for international students? Engineering/Science department? (I am an Asian /cough)

Second, how generous is the financial aid for international students?
I saw two main scholarships for international students. The website states that it is possible to get (almost) full ride by one of two scholarships. What percent of international students receive one of the scholarship? Also, is there any minor scholarships for international students? How generous are they regarding the financial support for international students?

Three, I am not U.S. Citizen, but a permanent resident. Would this affect my admission process? Is it even possible to apply/attend Canadian Universities in general without citizenship of United States?

Thank you in advance,

David.

I think >10% of all UBC students are interational so you don’t need to be an USA citizen to be accepted there. They cannot be very generous at all with international students. It is a public university so for IS it is same as most top tier public universities in USA but if you are an outstanding student with 4 GPA and >2200 SAT then you can get a president’s scholarship that covers 1/3 of your expenses…there are very few full tuition scholarships that you can compete for but you have to apply specifically for these…
